We envision a Baltimore where all residents can thrive in deep connection with nature and community.

We recognize that we are guests in the communities that host our work, and we understand that the residents are the rightful vision-holders for their communities. As such, we are invited into communities to help achieve their collective vision by building and stewarding community resources.

Environmental equity and food justice are vital for ensuring fairness and well-being in our communities. In Baltimore City, these issues are deeply tied to the history of racial injustices. For decades, certain neighborhoods in Baltimore, primarily those with predominantly Black or low-income residents, have faced environmental burdens like pollution and lack of green spaces. At the same time, these communities often lack access to healthy, affordable food. This isn't a coincidence but a result of systemic racism and unequal distribution of resources.

When we talk about environmental equity, we're talking about fixing these unfair situations. It means everyone, no matter where they live or how much money they have, deserves a clean and safe environment. It also means ensuring everyone has access to fresh, healthy food, regardless of their zip code. By addressing these issues, we not only make our communities healthier and more livable but also confront the legacy of racial injustices that have plagued Baltimore for too long. It's about making things right and creating a brighter future for all residents, one where everyone can thrive.
