About: Jeremy Johnson
Jeremy Johnson served as a board member and Public Relations advisor for the The 6th Branch until December 2013. He is currently a full-time student at University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Prior to beginning his college education, Jeremy served 10 years as an active duty journalist in the United States Navy before being discharged in 2007 under Don't Ask, Don't Tell. His career included assignments in Japan, Italy, Guam and Greece, as well as three years teaching broadcast journalism at the Defense Information School at Fort Meade. In 2008 he began college under the GI Bill and graduated with an associates degree from the Community College of Baltimore County in 2010. He is now pursuing a bachelors degree in sociology at the University of Maryland Baltimore County, but works with The 6th Branch as a result of a renewed passion for community service that began when Rich Blake and Dennis Robinson invited him to join them in Spring of 2010. Since that time, Jeremy has also worked with the Palm Center in California, an academic think tank that has worked to educate the public about the policies and impact of Don't Ask, Don't Tell in the United States military.
